A 15-amino-acid fragment derived from a human gastric protein, widely discussed for tendon, gut and wound healing. Nearly all supporting evidence is preclinical; there are no completed randomised human efficacy trials and it is not an approved medicine anywhere.
What the evidence actually shows
Rodent studies report accelerated tendon-to-bone healing, protection against NSAID-induced gut injury and improved wound angiogenesis, frequently attributed to upregulation of VEGFR2 signalling and nitric-oxide pathways.
Human data are limited to small early-phase safety work in inflammatory bowel disease. No peer-reviewed randomised trial has demonstrated efficacy in humans, and product sold online is unregulated research chemical of unverified purity.
Safety
Animal toxicity signals have been mild, but the absence of controlled human data means long-term risk — including any effect on tumour angiogenesis — is unknown.
