A GLP-1 and glucagon dual agonist developed primarily for MASH rather than weight loss, reported to reduce liver fat more than semaglutide in a head-to-head Phase 2a trial.
Clinical evidence
In a 24-week randomised comparison, efinopegdutide produced a substantially larger relative reduction in liver fat content than semaglutide 1 mg in adults with nonalcoholic fatty liver disease.
