A GHRH analogue engineered to resist degradation. The DAC (drug affinity complex) version binds albumin and sustains elevated GH and IGF-1 for days; the no-DAC form is a short-acting GHRH fragment often paired with ipamorelin.
Mechanism
CJC-1295 activates the pituitary GHRH receptor. The DAC linker covalently attaches to serum albumin, extending exposure from minutes to roughly a week and raising IGF-1 in a dose-dependent way in early human studies.
Status
Clinical development stopped after early trials; a reported safety event during a related programme is frequently cited in discussion of sustained GH elevation. No approved product exists.
