Sermorelin
ALSO KNOWN AS · GRF (1-29) · Geref
The shortest active fragment of human GHRH, formerly approved for diagnosing and treating paediatric growth-hormone deficiency. Withdrawn commercially, it is now dispensed mainly through compounding pharmacies for off-label anti-ageing use.
Mechanism
Sermorelin stimulates the pituitary to secrete its own GH, preserving negative feedback and pulsatility — a theoretical safety advantage over exogenous HGH, though comparative outcome data in healthy adults are lacking.
